For many years, Yogi Abhay’s vision was to offer Yoga and Meditation programs that transform consciousness and help people live a more spiritually-fulfilling life that is grounded in genuine inner experience and knowledge of perennial Truths as taught in the ancient scriptures and re-transmitted by modern teachers. In 2006, Yogi Abhay’s vision came into reality and Oceanic Yoga started its foundation in Goa, India.

We are a vinyasa style yoga studio that was opened in April of 2010. The owners are Betsy Davis and Chrisitne Gatti. Betsy, the yoga director, trained at Laughing Lotus in NYC and was a senior teacher there for 11 years. Upon moving out to New Jersey from NYC, she and her partner decided to open a yoga studio to create a space for the yoga community to explore this awesome, ancient practice from a modern, fun, colorful, music filled environment.  We have been serving the community for almost 4 years!

Editor's Note: I just want to introduce this space by saying that I spent a three day bank holiday there some years ago and everything was just superb. The setting is idyllic, the meals are first rate; Christophe and Ciara taught and I still carry with me the benefits of their teaching.
